Our Story
From the mandate to reach out to the isolated community with the basic instruction for life survival* ... and a passion to see change in a somewhat hopeless situation**, El-Bethel Mission continues its mission to facilitate the isolated community into social inclusion while bridging the gap of social inequalities; an indirect response to Jeremiah 8:22.
Mothy Varkey is of the opinion that the church could be flexible enough to become a restorative and transforming presence in the world. Isaac of Abraham adopted similar attitude in a time of famine in the Valley of Gerrar, responding genuinely and dynamically to the famine at the time and not lose his commitment to the Word of God.***
El-Bethel Mission, a UK Faith-Based charity, shall continue to collaborate to raise resources needed, which shall include skilful team at all levels and equipped with the right toolkits, to bring the beneficiaries to the right mindset for success. Research has shown that families rely on their spirituality for emotional, mental and physical well-being. Pastoral care shall be delivered to both ministers and their congregants as well as to the general public.
We are also informed by four of the WHO strategic Objective 2 core components as well as the various White papers on mental health; mental wellbeing; problem solving; social inclusion; as well as the King's Fund document (to mention but a few); all of which suggest, propose, recommend and even prescribe proven solutions to mitigate current issues bringing all affected by this dangerous quandary into inclusivity. OUR BELIEF STATEMENT
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling or empowering the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe that Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the Church: water baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Both are available to all believers.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. God will be all in all; his Kingdom, his rule and reign, will be fulfilled in the new heavens and the new earth, recreated by his mighty power, in which righteousness dwells and in which he will forever be worshipped. < more >
